UPFRONT PERFORMANCE NETWORK
I was a founder member of the Upfront Performance Network.
This is a Facebook Group of almost 900 international members who work within all aspects of Sensory Theatre.
In summer 2020, I contributed a talk to the Sensory Skills Share which was a way of keeping connected with other theatre-makers during COVID lockdown.
Sadly, the talk itself wasn’t recorded but here’s the blurb written by Ellie Griffiths, Artistic Director of Oily Cart Theatre:
“Thrilled to announce that next week’s Sensory Skills Share will happen on Tuesday 26th May at 2pm (BST). It will be led by the totally brilliant Dr Gill Brigg: Freelance theatre maker, ASN teacher, Writer, Director and Drama Pedagogue.
Dr Gill wrote the only PhD I know of specifically focused on theatre made for audiences of young people labelled as having PMLD.
Her work and thinking has had an enormous impact on our sector.”
UPN: RESEARCH
I also set-up the UPN; Research Facebook group.
This group, also international, brings together the growing number of researchers in the field of sensory theatre and its related disciplines.
This is a dynamic and well-supported group.
